Understanding the RollersDaily 420 Index
The RollersDaily 420 Index evaluates U.S. states using a standardized 100-point scoring system across five categories: recreational legalization and possession (30 points), medical cannabis access (15 points), home cultivation rights (15 points), retail and delivery accessibility (20 points), and consumption rights and other legal protections (20 points).
Points are awarded based on specific legal rights, access provisions, and restrictions documented in RollersDaily’s state-by-state cannabis legalization guides.
Higher scores indicate more permissive cannabis laws and broader legal access. Lower scores indicate greater legal restrictions. States awaiting sufficient review are marked Not Yet Rated.
Editorial methodology: Scores represent RollersDaily’s independent assessment of state cannabis laws, not product prices, cannabis quality, or legal advice. Ratings may change when the underlying laws or published state guides are updated.
